Maderotherapy

MADEROTHERAPY

Madero Therapy is a holistic massage technique that uses anatomically designed wooden tools to improve the body’s size and proportions while improving overall health. These instruments allow highly targeted pressure to be applied to problem areas (such as thighs, buttocks, love handles and abdomen). Pressure intensifies the breakdown of fat deposits and fibrous cellulite so that it can be eliminated naturally with other toxins.

The technique involves repetitive movements using different wooden instruments to manipulate targeted areas of muscle, fat and cellulite, stimulating the lymphatic drainage system to remove unnecessary water, fat and toxins from the body. What makes this treatment unique, comparing to other alternatives such as laser, ultrasound cellulite removal or liposuction, is that it stimulates the production of elastin and collagen and eliminates cellulite at its root, with no downtime! It’s a 100% natural, non-invasive method with no contraindications. A series of 10-15 treatments is necessary to achieve the desired results. Madero Therapy has been practiced for centuries in the oriental countries, but it took the wave of popularity in the 90’ in Colombia. The word Madero in Spanish means ‘’wood’’ therefore, it’s been called a Wooden Treatment’’or Body Sculpting Treatment.

How it is done?

The technique of Maderotherapy involves a series of movements that are repeated using more than ten different wooden instruments. Applying these instruments to muscles, fat deposits and cellulite, we stimulate the lymphatic system of the body and thereby we release it from accumulated toxins. This release from toxins stimulates the metabolism to burn fat. Also, resistant cellulite pockets are destroyed, the skin swelling decreases and the orange peel syndrome is leveled.

Maderotherapy is not recommended to pregnant women, nursing mothers and the women who just gave birth and do not breastfeed advise them to wait for at least 4 months to restore the hormonal balance in order to have full effect of Maderotherapy. We do not do treatment during the period.

How many treatments do I need?

Each session lasts about 30-45 minutes, and you can see changes from the third session, although they recommend a full cycle of 10 sessions for satisfactory results. Treatments to be performed every day, or if clients is hyper sensitive every other day. Number of cycles / treatments needed depends from client to client.

WOOD THERAPY TREATMENT PLAN

The technique employs a series of repetitive movements using more than a dozen different wooden implements. These implements manipulate targeted areas of muscle, fat and cellulite, stimulating the lymphatic drainage system to rid the body of stored toxins. This release of toxins jumpstarts metabolism to burn fat. The manipulation also serves to break down stubborn pockets of cellulite, thereby shrinking disproportionate bulges and smoothing orange-peel dimples.
